Gwyneth Paltrow is fit and fab at 44, thanks to a gluten-free low-carb diet and yoga workouts.
Gwyneth, who will launch her own very own skin care line in March, said her anti-aging beauty secrets are a healthy diet and daily exercise.
Gwyneth begins her mornings with a cup of coffee mixed with half-and-half followed by a breakfast smoothie following an hour of exercise.
For lunch, Paltrow usually has a big salad with grilled chicken, and for dinner she eats a stir-fry of chicken and broccoli or or roast chicken and potatoes.
Low carb diets such as the ketogenic and Atkins diets fuel weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Her age-defying beauty secrets include yoga and rigorous cardio exercise.
The willowy 5-foot-9 blonde beauty works out up to two hours a day with longtime friend and trainer Tracy Anderson. Their workouts emphasize using light weights (no more than three pounds) and high repetitions of toning moves to sculpt lean muscle.
“Doing some cardiovascular exercise everyday is really good for my skin for detoxification and skin tone and color,” said Paltrow. “I do the Tracy Anderson Method, so I dance for an hour.”
Gwyneth also exfoliates every day and gets regular chemical peels and exfoliation treatments to keep her skin smooth and wrinkle-free, as Celebrity News previously reported.
Paltrow recently came under fire after being named the rep for Restorsea, a high-priced skincare line. But Gwyneth said you don’t have to use expensive wrinkle creams and lotions to look good.
“I use coconut oil a lot on my face, on my skin and in my cooking,” said Paltrow. “And I just started ‘oil pulling,’ which is when you swish coconut oil around [in your mouth] for 20 minutes.”
