Kendra Wilkinson is fitter than ever after two kids, thanks to a low-carb diet and rigorous exercise.
Kendra looked gorgeous in a high-waisted brown skirt with a thigh-high slit. Wilkinson was at the party without her husband, former NFL star Hank Baskett.
Kendra has maintained her 55-pound post-baby weight loss for more than a year. Wilkinson’s weight loss secrets were a low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet and rigorous workouts, as Celebrity News has reported.
“During my pregnancy, I started at 120 pounds and ended up at 175,” said Kendra. “I researched the perfect diet for after the baby. I love meat, I love vegetables. [Atkins is] low-carb and it’s working so good.”
Other celebrities who have lost weight on Atkins include Kim Kardashian, who lost 56 pounds just six months after giving birth to daughter North in 2014.
Similarly, actress Alyssa Milano recently lost 46 pounds on the Atkins diet after giving birth to her second baby, as Celebrity News has reported.
Low carb diets such as the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Nutritionist Collette Heimowitz said low carb diets suppress appetite better than low-fat diets so you don’t feel hungry all the time like you do on low-calorie diets.
“Low-carb diets keep blood sugar levels stable and prevent food cravings,” said Heimowitz, author of New Atkins For a New You Cookbook.
Physician and Harvard University nutrition professor Dr. David Ludwig agrees.
Low carb diets curb hunger, keep you feeling full, and enhance mental clarity and mood, said Dr. Ludwig, author of the bestseller Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells.
